The Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board believes that employment is an important part of the recovery process. Estimates and actual figures place the unemployment rate for mental health consumers with severe mental illness at about 90%. Yet, when asked, consumers rate having a job as one of their top three desires, along with having a place to live and friends.

The Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board supports the Employment Alliance, a joint venture of Bridgeway, Inc. and Spectrum of Supportive Services, to provide employment ands vocational services to consumers who want to work.
